Ask your doctor about docetaxel, combination of the 3 shows much better results
Had L1 radiated then 2ys later in L 2 and T 10 11 so put me on Enzalutamide or Xtandi 4 pills a day plus 3 mot shots of Xgeva Stayed on Zolodex shots google them all
I was on lupron and Erleada for 13 months with RP after the 6 th month. Being tired is normal and expected, however, these meds worked well for me. I am now med free and cancer free and hope to stay that way. If the cancer returns, I will probably go back on these meds. I recommend that you put up with this side effect and that you continue with these meds unless they cease to work or that your side effects change and become unloveable. Good Luck.
I've been on various treatments for 10 years with this disease. I can say that fatigue is probably the biggest factor. I take 5 hour energy shots sometimes. I have been on Percocet for pain all these years as needed. I have the worst type of aggressive prostate cancer with metastatic bone cancer. I have exhausted all treatments and currently waiting for the next clinical trial. The only other thing I can tell you is that a strong mind helps, and that's me.
Second that. Fatigue is not just being tired or drowsy. It is more than that. At times, it is almost like a seizure, but the docs dont accept that. What it means is it makes working or even ordinary daily task bit difficult.
@cal77, Eligard is like leuprolide or goserelin which I used to be given earlier. Both these meds cause tremendous fatigue and I found the only way to partially overcome this is to regularly walk a few miles every day. Hot flashes and sweating in the face too occur, but that's not killing really, just discomfort. But these drugs do their job, so the side effects are to be accepted gracefully.
Ask St Rita of the impossible to intercede for you
Have you had pluvicto ?
I have been on Relugolix going on two years now. Weight gain, gynecomastia, muscle stiffness, but no fatigue. PSA was less than 1 now, 2.5. Next week another Pet scan to see where I am. Will probably add Xtandi.
All the best to you. Hang in there!
Yes, it failed for me and made my PSA rise.
