Severe groin pain and inner thigh
I have spinal stenosis and last year went through hell worked at getting back it was hard. No surgery the neuro said I didn’t need it.
Well I got back to cane instead of walker and done good for a year but I woke up 2 weeks ago with severe inner thigh pain and groin and each step is excruciating. I have appointment for doc on 22 nd . I know the er won’t do anything because I’m already on pain meds but nothing helps it.
I was told if my bowel and bladder lost control to go directly to er . That’s going to be humiliating and pray they do something besides throw physical therapy at me again. This is making me wish it was over.

FYI There is no such thing as minimally invasive spine surgery. It's an advertising ploy. As soon as you are cut open it's invasive. Pro Spine is the company. I spent hours....days researching. Check out all your surgical options first. Germany is the only country approved for more than 2 levels and they have been doing this since the late 80's. I don't know what you might need. I know that money is important but don't trade skill for cost. I had one doctor, approved for two, tell me, it's just the same technique for 5 and he'd give it a shot.
Please share where/how I get the forms. I have images & I want to start the process now. I've been told by 3 neuro surgeons they can't do anything for my L5 nerve damage and 2 said they wouldn't do the C5,6,7 fusion that one said I needed. I'd love an opinion from Germany as I'm about to have a Spinal Cord Stimulator placed to help with the pain.
The orthopedic surgeon is CEO of Pro Spine in Bogen, Germany. Google questa with Pro Spine". The initial form is more of an introduction with your name and a brief summary of your condition. An imaging report can be used as it's usually precise. Once it is received, if you live in the states, you'll be contacted by a representative who lives in the USA. He takes care of all the paperwork for the USA and Canada. He will then send you infirmation including a very detailed questionnaire. They also require the actual "pictures" of any imaging along with their reports. The surgical team will then come back with a recommendation. You can then request a quote. If you'd like more info I'd be happy to provide it.
Soory for typos. Google "consult request for Pro Spine", Bogen Germany.

Update, severe stenosis in lumbar and central canal severe stenosis and all disk are demineralized and some stenosis mild to moderate throughout spine. Doc called at 8:30 tonight and she wants to go through all the pictures and take the next step. I am so tired oh and found out for the first time I have 12 th ribs are hypoplastic and as many rest I had done it wasn’t found in 20 plus years.
I posted on here the findings.
Thank you. What does Dr suggest ? I am going next week for a new MRI
I just started having groin pain. My ortho thinks I have a hip (new hip on 2/20/23) infection because I had 3 root canals and 2 infections after the second and third root canal. It was the same tooth and I went to a specialist. I am afraid of them draining the fluid out of my hip or even replacing it if he thinks the infection has spread. He ordered a c- reactive protein test- normal and a sed rate and that was double what it should be. I have more blood work on the 31st. Have any of you had a hip infection and what did the docs do?
thanks,
I have been unable to walk without excruciating pain since March. I has multiple disc herniations, spondylosis, and severe stenosis which resulted in closure of lumbar spinal canal. I also has an MRI done and I have multiple tears in my left hip labrum. Doctors could not ascertain if hip and groin pain were from back or labrum tears. on 8.8 i had a six level laminectomy. Unfortunately, i haven't had any pain relief yet despite fact that dr said last week i should be at 80 percent after 3 mos. Yet i am in more pain now than pre op and i can't start PT for at least another 2 weeks. I need by back to improve to see how much pain in hip and groin is related to labrum tear vs back to determine whether i need hip surgery. thus, in a waiting game while in excruciating pain hoping i don't have post-laminectomy syndrome.
Have you had a HIP MRi? I didn't for mos as my initial spinal surgeon that i didn't end up using for surgery never recommended it. the pain management dr did, believing i had a torn labrum, which i did. I would ask for an MRI on whichever hip/groin is bothering u as because they are so interconnected your pain can be emanating from your hip instead of, or in addition to, your back. good luck
if anyone has experience with laminectomy and severe debilitating pain i would appreciate hearing from i
