Possibly from an injury to head or eye, and also possible to thyroid issues. I took have double vision that goes away when covering one eye, right or left doesn't matter. Haven't had it checked out yet, but should. Maybe a trip to emergency room is in order. Couldn't hurt but probably help.

There are things they can do and just living with it by squinting, covering an eye, can even create more strain on your eyes. If it is a muscle affecting your vision, there is a surgery they can do to correct it, and they can also add prisms to your glasses [whether it be Rx glasses or reading glasses], and there is probably more things they can do. This is just what I have learned from my experiences. I'm not trying to be a "know it all", just offering up some info. Mine cannot be helped because I have so many other eye conditions, but trust me, if there were something I could do about it, I woould. I have lived with this too many years. Hope this helps!
