@ch47 Perhaps you would like to take a look at the new discussion we started today?

@johnbishop added a great list of resources in his comment.

I did what I normally do when someone poses a question like yours - I looked for the scientific evidence...AND...I couldn't find any. Everything published regarding the Dr Chris Shade and Quicksilver Push Catch Liver Detox is by/about his company. There is no evidence of an independent scientific study. Here's the site:
https://www.quicksilverscientific.com/all-products/pushcatch-liver-detox/
And after I read all about it - here is what the box at the bottom of the ad says: "*These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease."

Further, the jury is out on whether there is any scientific basis for "liver detox":

This is a difficult situation - chelation therapy itself can be tough, and when you add IPF and the meds to manage it, decisions get harder to make.
Do you have someone with whom you can discuss the pros and cons?
Sue

Sue, John and all,
Thank you for your research efforts and support!
Very interesting and informative…just started looking into it once it arrived yesterday. The instructions for taking this product, along with his other meds, were so specific and a bit scary…3 hours of overall time needed to properly complete the process of consuming this product and his Ofev. Each time. Yikes…that made me start to worry a bit, and decided to touch base with my trusted friends at Mayoclinicconnect.
Will be seeing the pulmonologist in 2 months, and will be talking to the functional medical people soon, I think! They are good and have helped me in some great ways, but this is about his life…
Thank you-thank you again!

Ps…he is a non drinker, non smoker, very active and had his third liver function test last Monday. Hoping that since we did not hear from the pulmonologist, that things are good! 🙏
