Plantar Fasciitis: How did you get rid of it?
I don't know if this is where this should be posted, but I have a few questions. Almost seems like it goes hand and hand with neuropathy.
Have you had it and how did you get rid of it. I have done 2 injections.. I use ice and ice bottle almost nightly, I've massaged, I've purchased special shoes, and I've worn compression sleeves, plus I've done the night splint.. It just won't go away. I know it's because of the atrophy on that calf.
If you've had it please share what worked for you to get rid of it.

I began suffering from heel pain 4-5 months post TKR. Saw 2 podiatrists who gave me injections, exercises and said use ice. I did it all. It got worse. Finally had an MRI of my foot. High grade plantar fascia tear. Stopped ice and rather extreme stretching exercises I was doing. Now I have PT once a week, use heat. With very different massage and stretching exercises. Will take months to heal. I’m sure this is due to TKR. Surgeon was very proud he straightened my leg and knee which I believe significantly changed my foot mechanics causing the plantar fascia tear. Very discouraging as I still can’t walk for exercise and I’m 13 months post TKR.
Don't know what TKR is but so sorry that you are going through this. My husband and myself had regular plantar and it took month, arch supports and rest to get better. Wish you all the best.
My husband an I both wear Oofos sandals and shoes and they have literally healed our Plantar Fasciitis . Have told several of our friends about them who have same issues and they feel same. They work!
I also tried Oofos. Unfortunately didn’t work for me.
I had surgery and now have no pain for my planter fasciitis. No more nonsupport shoes like flip flops shoes.
I would love to try those but I found that any shoe that has that curve to the sole where the toe tips upward greatly increases my risk of falling. In fact, each time I have had a serious fall, I was wearing them, so I changed to ordinary flat soled shoes and have never had a fall. But ouch! My plantar fasciitis won’t seem to heal.
I agree with you. These shoes do tend to work on our balance as well. I’m so sorry they caused fall issues for you. I wish they would’ve worked for you as literally, they have been a blessing to us.
So did I. Best thing I’ve ever done. I couldn’t walk before the surgery.
Me too. I couldn’t walk either. My doctor said I tried everything and surgery was the last treatment to try.
My husband, 72, and myself, 71, both had planter a while back. We iced the foot, got good arch supports from Amazon, $40 and got off the foot. Took many weeks but right now we are fine. One other thing, I wear Drew sneakers. They are deep and allow for inserts...good luck !
