PV Itching Not After Bathing
There’s so much information out there about PV itching following contact with water. My question is simple—can the PV-related itching happen at other times of the day? I consistently start itching at 7 pm every night. Interestingly, the itching last night started at 8 pm I presume because of daylight saving time change. Does anyone else experience this? Should I look elsewhere for the cause of the itching? I’d be interested to hear anyone’s stories about when they itch, not just what to do about it.

Cindy, I believe @splashgirl1961 @raremiracle2 have mentioned sweating in relation to PV.
Congrats on quitting smoking!
Have you found anything to help with sweating?
Well the sweating subsided when I lost 70 lbs not trying after all RBS COUNT CLIMBED! now I’m cold, pain in mid back, awful itching, rashes, multiple biopsies with no definitive diagnosis! No plebotomy because 2 point shy of their requirements! I’m done with western med! Did get PET no malignancies detected! Cleaned up diet, using natural methods for skin, oatmeal and natural soap, baking soda, sea salt, Epsom salt, turmeric ointment and only every other day with no HOT water. Sunlight seems to help heal but heat is unbearable currently! Also Sarna lotion will help with itching when other methods fail! I’m still just vaping anc cleaned up diet, seeing naturopathic doc, who gave me 4 supplements and glad to report first time in 3 years maintaining weight! I see him again this next week. This doc is old school naturopathic cellular level not the experimental expensive new “clinic” fad! I’ve gotten better results from him for under $200 out of pocket in 2 months than the $10,000 K billed to Medicare in 3 years! Best of luck to you all! Still no repeat JAK test, bone marrow, despite AVN IN RIGHT HIP, or phlebotomy orders, scheduled to donate blood later this month on my own! Heal thyself! Western medicine has failed, big pharma can keep their poision!
I usually itch right after my bath, I use dove soap and will use various oils from vaseline to cerave however nothing except wait for it to calm down. I just now at 1 pm put on some compression socks and oh my goodness, they may be coming off. Yikes.
