Through my GI doctor. I had a ph probe attached to my esophagus. I had no symptoms but the results showed I had a high level of acid reflux.

Silent reflux! I had these same symptoms nothing I took seemed to help. Once I was diagnosed with silent reflux and that was treated my symptoms got better.

Did they treat you with ppi’s like Omeprazole etc? How long before you got better
Glad you did finally feel better

Thanks! I had no luck with over the counter meds. Currently on Famotidine.
Silent reflux would be something to at least look into.

My GI dr ordered a test where a ph probe was attached to my esophagus. It then measured the amount of reflux. I had no symptoms but tested positive for high levels.

I have had the sensation of post nasal drip and mucus on my vocal cords plus the globus sensation in my throat for over 2 years . I have to clear my throat and it can sound a bit horse and it’s strength when shouting has significantly diminished. I feel all this started after a URTI in April 2021 , I did a covid test and all was negative but the infection was bad and lasted about 2 weeks.
I have had a scope to look at my vocal cords about 18 months ago also a endoscopy a year ago and found a 3 cm sliding hiatus …I have tried every which medication and remidy including very high strength PPI’s nothing makes any different.
I have come across a device called IQURO which is now available on prescription although I am happy to buy it. It is a neuromuscular training device to strengthen the diaphragm and oesophageal sphincter muscle . Please has any one tried it or had a similar situation to mine who can give me any advice .This will be so appreciated

How long were you on the medication before it started to work?

My condition is now about 2 and 1/2 years old. I have given up. I just live with it. Sometimes it is hard to breath. I am not seeing any doctors.

I HAVE FIGURED IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gallbladder.

After seven tests with my second GI doctor, we found out that my gallbladder stopped functioning. Basically, it started going bad, decreasing in its functioning, then just stopped. A day after having the gallbladder removed, I was able to clear my throat AND produce a loogie. Which, by the way, I have not been able to do in nearly two years, or at least since this had started.

My symptoms that started January 8, 2022. Yeah, over a year and a half.
1. Not able to clear my throat
2. Ridiculous post nasal drip
3. LPR-d with the vocal issues
3a. The vocal issues are what caused my breathing issues. I would run out of breath just having a very basic conversation. Short of breath walking to check the
mail. Sensation of needing to take a deep breath. Almost felt like I was trying to breathe through a heavy filter in my throat. Or like something was blocking my
airways.
4. Feeling bloated all the time. Just not able to get rid of the gas. Which, caused the LPR-d
5. Couldn't make a loogie. Listen, it's not that I wanted to go around spitting loogies, but I would at least like to be able to do something so easy. I just could not get the mucus/phlegm from my nose to my mouth so I could do the launching. Not trying to be gross here, but when you can't physically do something that you have done your entire life, you want to know why.

I had gone to: primary care, cardiologist, allergist, otolaryngologist, pulmonologist, gastroenterologist, and a speech therapist.
Test: honestly ... too many to list

If your symptoms are similar, and are not getting anywhere with what your doctors are doing now, then at least get your gall bladder checked. It is a very easy, simple test. You just sit there and watch YouTube videos.

How are the gall bladder and the mucus issue related? I will get it checked out though

Have you tried a sinus rinse? I had awful hayfever this year. This will help to clear phlegm out - if that is what is causing that feeling. Not hard to do.
