Can anyone tell me if Pulmonary Fibrosis always affects both lungs?

I was just wondering because many people have asked me that question. I have Fibrotic NSIP, with Left lung being worse far worse than right. Many cancer patients have a lung removed that is cancerous. Is the same option available for Fibrosis? Just curious.
