Just curious....what antibiotic does he take and who prescribes for you...the doctor or his dentist? My husband had an exam and teeth cleaning prior to his transplant on 6/20, but I like being prepared. ☺️

@ddeba24 Hello, and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! As you can see, we are a helpful group here, and always willing to share our experiences and what has workeed for us.

My husband's nephrologist was the one to prescribe the antibiotics for dental work. It was a broad spectrum like amoxicillin.
