I got 5 sessions of radiation with a high dose at each session. Targeted. It was easy. I have DCIS with invasion to tissue but tumor was only 4mm (small) and margins were clean. I am not doing tamoxifen therapy so I wanted to do the radiation. My story! Hope that helps! God bless!
I was in the same board as you are. My oncologist also scare me by suggesting Mastetomy and not lumptomay. He said my lump was huge and could do lumptomay. That part was really scary.
I only have done X-tray and and I will go for scan on Tuesday. Much wasnt dont yet. After the scan the oncologist said we will go for operation.
Your score were good my were higher than you that way option is chemo and radiation both
I initially tried chemo but after a horrible allergic reaction I decided it wasn’t for me. I had stage III cancer and just felt that it would make my condition worse. I’ve also heard that my type of cancer is somewhat chemo resistant. I had initially tried Taxol. It is very disheartening that the best thing we have in 2023 to fight this dreaded disease is 40 year old toxic tree bark. Take care.
I refused verzenio because the side affect risk were worse. It would have only got me 4% from 86 to 90 percent in 9 years. I’m at low to medium risk. I believe from changing my eating habits for better I can change those numbers.
Amen!
