Do you have an inspiring or favorite quote to share?

I'll start with three quotes from the very inspiring Helen Keller as noted in "Your Year of Healing" book by Amit Sood, MD:

"Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it."

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched -- they must be felt with the heart."

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

I really enjoy Maya Angelou’s writing. Her books I find interesting and earthy.
A well known quote of hers is “If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude!”
My favorite is “People will forget what you said. And people will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.”

One of my favorites is "Courage does not always roar. Sometimes it is simply the quiet voice at the end of the day that can only manage to whisper 'I will try again tomorrow'".

Wishing all, Strength, Courage, & Peace

True! And a good related quote is:

"The best way to succeed in life is to act on the advice we give to others."

Yesterday was the summer solstice, the longest day of the year and the beginning of calendar summer. It was filled with glorious shining light from our day star, the Sun. In thinking about it today, I remember Sarah Williams, a poet and novelist who loved astronomy. She wrote a poem entitled "The Old Astronomer". The following words in that poem have been widely used and have been quoted ever since.

"Though my soul set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light;
I have loved the stars too truly to be fearful of the night,'

My all-time favorite quote though the author is only a guess:
You are not a body with a soul; but a soul with a body

Wonderful quote! I believe the author is C.S. Lewis in Mere Christianity.

My favorite quote may not seem all that positive but it actually is if you are aware of your own emotional boundaries:

« Boundary problems are a misdirected attempt to be loved »

This refers to those of us who have tendency toward « people pleasing » that can be to our own detriment.

It had been credited to him initially but since has been questioned. That of course doesn't change the sentiment.
