I’m glad. It was really a life saver for me. I was healthy before Covid and then all the sudden couldn’t hardly walk or get up off the sofa. The pain got so bad I was living in my bedroom for a year. I couldn’t do it anymore. I’m so happy I pushed to try this. It all made sense to me.
Get back to a daily walk and perhaps PT. It doesn't take long to lose muscle tone that supports the tasks you need to do in life. It also relieves pain and mood. A short morning walk, water exercise are also good ways to start moving again.
I've found that hemp oil and CBD oil help with this kind of chronic pain. I've had long Covid since Sept. '22 Covid infection.
Thanks! 😇 Apply CBD or Hemp to joints or drink it??
I have 2.5 teaspoons 2x daily hemp oil, and a dropper of CBD oil 2x daily. Also, am putting hemp oil on any painful joints, bruises. or rough spots on the body directly, several times a day.
This combination helps a lot with inflammation anywhere in the body. I wouldn't go off of it, been using it for several months now.
Get your lactic acid levels tested. I just got mine and resting levels were way above range. It's an easily tested value that could give you insight into your fatigue.
Symptoms of high lactic acid are debilitating fatigue, brainfog/confusion, and nausea. You will struggle to recover if your resting levels are high.
(lactic acid is a byproduct of anaerobic metabolism and in the case of longcovid can result from microclots blocking O2 to tissue or from cardiovascular inflammation)
I am so frustrated. I am new here. I had Covid 6 weeks ago and got treatment too late because I had no respiratory symptoms. An EMT friend of mine said test for COVID. When I first had it, it was my stomach and severe muscle pain. Now it is some serious joint pain and fatigue. I also have a little night sweats, but I can live with that. Also, I am cold especially in the morning. It is this osteoarthritis flare that really seems to be cramping my style.
I’m managing pain in hip joints with Omega 3-6-9, 3 capsules a day. If I miss even one day the hip pain starts to come back.
@kathy121320 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I’m so sorry that it was long covid and pain that brought you to MCC. You’ve mentioned osteoarthritis. Have you been diagnosed with this? The doctor who diagnosed OA must surely have ideas on treatment. Have you called them? Have you read this entire discussion to find some answers?
