Groundglass opacities within the lungs what does it mean?
I recently had an annual CT Scan done. We were just checking to see if 3 black spots were still on my lower left lung or had they grown. The CT Scan came back with several abnormality's. Such as Ground glass opacities within the lungs probably on the basis of motion and
examination acquired in expiration. I have had this awful cough since Nov 2022. I have checked my CT Scans from previous years. Ground glass opacities was never mentioned.

1 ReactionI have Interstitial Lung Disease and have been on Prednisone since August, 2025. I started on 60 mg and am finally down to 5 mg. The side effect are awful. The worse is losing my hair and had to buy a wig. Also have the moon face and my skin on my arms and legs is so sensitive, a slight scratch will cause large areas to look very bruised.
Has anyone gone through this with ILD? I guess my big question is will my hair grow back? Will my face be like it
was before Prednisone?
I am on oxygen 24/7 and have been since last August. I got pneumonia and ended up in the ICU. Was in the hospital for two weeks and was told I was lucky to be alive. My oxygen level when admitted was 70.
Anyone else go through similar issues with ILD?
