No strength and cough

I posted about inactivity on the couch about my husband. I should have explained it this way. He has a chronic cough so when he moves he has a coughing jag. Hence he stopped doing any type of activity…that along with no appetite causes him to be weak.
It’s almost like “which came first, chicken or the egg”. Need to exercise for strength can’t exercise because it makes him cough. I am trying to find out how to be a caregiver and I accept that we have a new normal.

Hello, I, too am in this same boat. I can get up and do a little...but i get winded easily and if I push myself I go into a coughing spell. I have multiple PV's in both lungs which the doctor's have no idea why. I have bad arthritis in both knees and walk with a walk so am seated most of the time plus am overweight. A recipe for disaster. I also suffer from depression, anxiety disorder and others. I have a dentist appt. tomorrow and i have a ride to get there but I'm worried I'll be too weak to walk inside and make the trip. I take B-12 along with multi-vitamins and a host of other meds. Eloquis being one for the clots. Thanks for posting. At least i'm not the only one out there with this problem.
