My husband is having 10 hot flashes an hour during the day and nights he’s up at least 3 - 4 times! This is exhausting for him. We do all you suggested but it’s becoming overwhelming. He is on Xtandi & Elligard shots. He’s a stage 4T with a PSA of almost 0 from 72, and has almost 0 testosterone. The dr is no help - he’s not given us any support, we are loosing hope.
This is so small but I ordered a small hand held fan from Amazon which provides some relief.
Hot flashes are not killing, so don't get disheartened, atb worst they are uncomfortable and disgusting. And I don't believe any doctor can really help with the hot flashes, they are a natural side effect of the drugs (ADT) that's been given. I am on Zoladex SC 10.8mg 3-monthly and Abiraterone 1g OD for several months now. In the beginning hot flashes and fatigue used to bother me like hell, but these sysmtoms have mitigated a lot gradually. So don't lose heart!
I think these will continue so long as one is on ADT
Time to consider another doctor if this one is unwilling to listen and help.
Any competent and caring member of your medical team should be able to address mitigating care for the hot flashes, either medical or other actions.

He is up 3 - 4 times a night because he is drenched and has to change shirts and sheets! I’ve went through menopause for 10 years and they would come and go, but he is getting so fatigued it’s not helping!
We have a large fan and the ac on but that’s not helping
I understand, as I too have gone through this at one stage. But believe me, it will get better. Hot flashes are a side effect of ADT. Also, if your doc is not supportive, try and get a second opinion.
It will pass ….. give it some time!!
