Low dose naltrexone for Post-Covid Recovery experiences ?

Posted by radapanich @radapanich, May 15, 2023

Does anyone have experiences with low dose naltrexone for long Covid symptoms of significant brain fog, post-exertional fatigue, joint pain, muscle pain - inflammation, insomnia. A few studies in late 2022 indicate that low dose naltrexone 4.5 mg is helpful . Do you know of a specific doctor in NYC who prescribes it?

Does anyone know why the increase of naltrexone dose is so gradual when it is a very safe drug and it’s being used at 1/10 th of the full dose? I have seen a protocol where the dose is increased from 1 mg to 4.5 mg within 4 weeks. Any thoughts ?

I just started taking LDN in tablet form. Each tablet is 4.5 mg. I have a pill splitter, and my doctor is having me take 1/4 pill for a week, 1/2 for a week, 3/4 for a week. Whole pills after that.

Has it helped anyone regulate their gut issues? I'm either constipated or have to stay near a bathroom. I've tried everything!!

Has anyone talked to doctors about photobiomodulation (red light laser) for long covid symptoms ie. fatigue, brain fog, gastrointestinl?

I have been on it for three months and it has helped my brain fog and fatigue noticeably. I started at 1.5 MG and now at 3mg. Hasn't really helped muscle and joint pain. My PCP prescribed it. I showed her this study and it helped convince her..

I recently saw an ad for an online company through which you can get low-dose Naltrexone. Apparently they have their own prescriber on board. If you google “low dose Naltrexone” you can probably find it. There are so many communities which don’t have LC clinics and don’t have providers educated about treatments like this, so I’m glad this service is available for a very safe medication.

You can get it at almost any compounding pharmacy. You can find them online and also in your local areas.
