device that may help stimulate bone density?

Welcome @maryeve, I think @mtran88788 @naomid @baguette and @vgkime have posted in other discussions about the Maradyne LIV and may have some information to share with you.

Yes and yes. I've read every study to date. Here are a couple:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33314313/
https://asbmr.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1359/JBMR.0301251

I'm combining the Marodyne LIV 10 minutes twice a day with Fortibone Collagen Peptides, power walking five days a week, weights, Sarah Meeks PT for osteoporosis, Vitamins D and K, calcium (mostly through nutrition), Omega 3's, magnesium and whatever else I can find that might help. I will revisit the plan with my endocrinologist in one year after my next DEXA/TBS

I will tell you that on YouTube you can find Clinton Rubin discussing the Marodyne LIV that he has worked on to develop. And this spring Margaret Martin PT put out an announcement the Marodyne has been shown to be effective. It was a big deal. I have just recently ordered it. It is $3200 dollars, but joining Margaret Martin’ s free site of wonderful exercise information you can get $250 dollars off . Margaret is on YouTube too if you want to get a flavor for her stuff. She has books and every month does a video stream targeting a different particular theme related to osteoporosis-ie. weight bearing exercises, pelvic floor exercises . It takes generally between 4-6 weeks to get the Marodyne once it’s ordered. To get the best results it’s recommended you use it for 10 minutes 2x/ day. You won’t see immediate results , it’s more over a year to year and a half expectation. You can use it while watching TV, making phone calls etc. I’m excited to get it and can keep you posted. I am on vacation so don’t have all my information with me . I can share ordering info when I get home if you’d like. Good luck to all trying to increase the health of your bones!!!

Thank you for your response. I have watched Clinton Rubin and Margaret
Martin on YouTube.
Before investing on this device, I was hoping to find more concrete studies
that it can actually help with improving my osteoporosis.
I appreciate any information you can share.

Chalk it up to bad luck, but I had to replace my new Marodyne LIV twice in the past two months. Now on my third device, and so far so good. The company stands behind their product and even covered the return shipping.

Hi! Hope you don’t mind me asking…..what was wrong with your Marodyne? Just wondering because mine has had issues also but I haven’t sent it back. Thanks!

Hi kinzee,
The first one would fail to reactivate if left in the Standby mode. And there was a lot of variability in its vibration. The second machine failed to show any imbalances, no matter where or how the user was standing, and no “Error” light would come on. The amount of vibration coming from the machine was almost imperceptible.
Now that I have a machine that works well, glad I returned the other two! It’s a lot of money—you should get a fully operational device.

Can you tell me what your issues are? I'm thinking of purchasing one but a little wary that people are reporting malfunctions after they receive them. Wonder about quality control...

I'm interested in this question too, vgkime. Mine arrived last week and at first the vibration seemed very strong, not at all mild as some report. But if I move around a bit it settles into a mild medium vibration. I wonder about it's effectiveness and whether there is really any evidence that it at least slows down bone loss; I think I may have acted out of fear rather than rationality.

"Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF): Thank you, Naomid, for your post, which I'll partially quote here, to spread the news:

We bought the Marodyne LIV almost a month ago, like others, out of fear and with the strategy to, "leave no stone unturned," in our search for effective treatments. After nearly a month of searching for ANY research, (other than that sponsored by the inventor, Dr. Rubin, or his cohorts), we were about to send it back for a full refund, until we found the study you publicized in you post, published by National Institute of Health (NIH). That's the ONE positive, independent study I needed in order to keep and not return the LIV device. The other study you included in your post had no value for us, as it's results were inconclusive, AND, is was sponsored by a cohort of Dr. Rubin, the inventor. Thanks, again. Let's all keep up this very helpful conversation, and thanks to MayoClinic for facilitating this discussion.
