I am 5 months post liver transplant. It took me a solid month to lose the puffy weight. It was horrible. But it did resolve eventually. I was in surgery 12 hours, which affected my kidneys, and high levels of Cellcept & Prograf. Now things are better. My doses are lower but I struggle with appetite. Orgain protein shakes are a life saver. I suffered from mental illness before surgery & did feel a little sad, after all life has changed. That too has resolved. Be patient it gets better!
