I have to tell you. My daughter-in-law has had severe back pain. She has 2 bulging disks and a torn ligament. Waiting for an appointment for injections was painful and Tylenol and Tylenol 3 wasn't helping when she's trying to be a mom. She tired CBD Oil. Swears by it. She originally bought it in a cream and is off the Tylenol. Still going to have to have those injections and possible surgery but the pain is gone as long as she uses it. Anyone else tried it?

@suemer Thank you for letting me know.. I have alot of Gastro problems, including a strangulated colon, and one of them is also having the vagus nerve effected as well,, I have passed out when trying to have a bowel movement.. I had it under control ( for the most part) before my hip surgery,, I was using a "squatty Potty" but cant use it with the pain I have in my thigh and hip,, I dont know if that will help you and or your son,, but give it a try.. Bed bath and beyond,, with coupon,, end up with good price..
@hammerhead --be careful when you say it cant get any worse,, I stopped saying that years ago.. because I found out how much worse it can get,, when the dr said NEW man,,, he forgot to tell you that that "new" man has lots of pain,, good luck to you
This is so very true, frister. I wish I never had it done. I hate living with excruciating pain and limitations. My surgeon says this is common and will go away a year after surgery. I should have placed a bet with him. It's getting worse. My pain now is worse than before my surgery. I've now been diagnosed with severe osteoporosis so I sure as heck don't want to trip and fall. Yes, it can get worse.
So sorry to read of your misery!! What is worse, the physicians who REALLY encourage the surgery, want nothing to do with one after the failure. There must be a solution to this occurrence, time and time again, martha

Hello @nessa, you may notice that I moved your discussion and combined it with another discussion titled, "Has anyone had sharp thigh pain after hip replacement?" I did this so you could read through some of the previous posts and so that you would be introduced to the many members already discussion post-hip replacement pain.
@nessa, I don't have experience with hip replacement surgery but I did have my right knee done when I was young (19). I had a real tough time with scar tissue so I had pain for a long time after my initial surgery. If you are comfortable sharing with the group, how intense is the pain? Is it movement based?
HELP!!!!
I had a total right hip replacement 4 years ago 2014.
Lately, I’ve experienced sharp stabbing pain in the hip area and travels down my right leg. I’ve had X-rays and MRI’s, all to no avail. It also feels like fluids are draining inside of my hip. The pain is so severe, it keeps me awake at night.
Currently, I’m taking Oxycodone, Lyrica, Baclofen, Ropinirole for pain and Seroquel to help me sleep.
Any advice?

@donaldc, you mentioned you have had x-rays and MRIs with not answers. Has your provider or surgeon offered any thoughts on what the pain and sensations might be coming from?
