Post COVID: Anyone experiencing internal vibrations?
I have had long covid for over two years and a symptom began sporadically during the initial seven weeks that has worsened since a second covid experience. It began as a “flutter” in my chest upon waking, lasting 5 seconds or so. It is not painful just a new sensation I have never experienced. After getting covid again in February 2022, the internal vibrations have become full body and go on for forty seconds. It is always upon waking or falling asleep temporarily during meditation and waking again. Long Covid retired me from my profession and I am not under any stress. I had a recent cardiac incident (also due to long Covid) and wore a Holter monitor. I triggered it whilst having an IV incident: definitely not cardiac induced. Has anyone else experienced IV like this?

I’ve been having this since my vaccine in March 2021! I never knew how to explain it but it feels like my body is vibrating on the inside. I’m relieved I’m not the only one. I also developed POTS, chronic fatigue and post exertional malaise. I started triple therapy treatment almost 3 weeks ago and feel so much better.
I had COVID 12/2022 -developed severe vibrations luckily less intense i could not explain what else it felt like yes a jolt …. Thank you so glad i read your comments …now when i fu with the Neurologist i can say this jolt sensation.
I still have lightheadedness which is worse when i first wake up. My mind is not as sharp …i so want to return to what i was like prior to covid….. i also have at times severe anxiety ( never was like this )…, all my MD’s say do relaxation meditation etc….i get it but this was never me…
I am glad i am close to retirement as not sure how much longer i can work …. So many do not understand long covid …and I’m sure think it’s all in “ your head”…when friends ask now how i feel i just say fine …. I’m just tired feeling this way i want my old self back…
I wish all the best in there journey
My wife has Covid Tremors, Covid Internal Vibrations, and sudden jerks from Covid. It is terrible at night while she sleeps or tries to sleep. The internal vibrations are so intense that I wake from the bed vibrating. Daytime tremors are very worrisome because if they get worse she will not be able to eat or drink.
We need HELP
I saw a neurologist recently who prescribed primidone for my covid hand tremors. The tremors have lessened to a noticeable degree, although they seem to pick back up when I'm under stress.
First, thanks.
She is taking 20mg x3 Propranolol but we don't think it's helping. I will look into primidone.
I had the same problem but started after covid , it’s horrible, but when I ask the doctor he said he don’t know why , long covid still been study .
Is triple therapy with Dr. Vaughn? I have been waiting 4 weeks and still haven't gotten in.
I had a "mild" infection in mid-March, 2020. Recall that delusional fever fell into the category of "mild" at that time. I never went to the hospital. You might recall that people were actually being dissuaded from going to the hospital unless in danger of immediate death. The active infection lasted about a week. A couple of month later I developed symptoms that we now recognize as long covid. Within a few months into it I thought everything was vibrating, especially when trying to call asleep at night. It took me about a week to realize that it was I that was vibrating.
The vibration subsided in early 2021 when I began to slowly see the beginning of improvement in energy and decrease of multiple symptoms (including cold sweats at night, nausea, headaches, etc).
In March 2022 I got a stomach infection. From that time on until fairly recently, I had nightly internal tremors. Every single night at about 4am or so I would awake from REM sleep (dreaming) and I would experience strong internal tremors from the base of my skull down my back between my shoulders. The line of vibration seemed connected to the backside of my heart.
Every. Single. Night. Vibration.
I would either just stay awake, or wait for it to calm down then go back to sleep. It seemed to me like it was following the line of the vagus nerve. My heart usually thumped very hard in those cases. Sometimes the vibration subsided in a minute or two. Sometimes it would take 20 minutes or so to subside. Strangely, I could feel my heart thumping from the back, not my chest. Odd sensation.
The fact that the nightly vibration happened 100% in conjunction with REM sleep made me wonder about a possible connection to some kind of hypothalamic function or perhaps a function tied with sleep.
I've never taken any pharmaceuticals for it. It's been improving in 2023. It's May 2023 and it occurs mildly about 3-4 times a week. FYI: I am a long-time practitioner of meditation, including 10 years of Vipassana meditation. When I look deeply at the source of the vibration it seems as if it is following a nerve, as opposed to a blood vessel.
Hello! Do you mind saying what the triple therapy is? And what type of Dr you saw to carry it out?
I know many are in the same boat, but I’m at my wits end trying to get Drs to see me. First appointment for neurologist is in November. And I can’t be put on a cancellation list bc they do not deem this as urgent. How are y’all getting in to see drs to get help? The vibrations are all day… seem more pronounced at night. Waking me up, in pain and in so much discomfort. I’m so exhausted… physically and emotionally.
