Menopause and Neuropathy
I have been suffering with Menopause for over 5 years. I have peripheral neuropathy from diabetes. I have noticed a pattern lately about every 6 days I will have an episode and every nerve in my feet and legs are affected. The pain is so intense I could cry.

Hi~
It does sound like you are having what I used to have, and started having again, recently.
First, none of my specialists have ever suggested that neuropathy has anything at all to do with menopause. Are you making a relationship there?
I was having, what got to be every few minutes, severe pain that seemed to be in my right calf and all of my foot. It was unbearable. It seemed to come from nowhere. I ended up in the ER and they diagnosed it as "sciatica" and referred me to my spine specialist. They gave me prednisone and pain killers there and sent me home. This happened 4 times, 4 TIMES TO THE ER! in a matter of a couple months.
After 18 months of specialist's visits and MRI's, they deduced it was 'probably' due to radiculopathy (pinched or damaged nerves) in my lumbar spine.
THIS NEXT IS ALL IN CAPS FOR A REASON. DO NOT TRY TO WALK WHILE YOU'RE GOING THROUGH ONE OF THESE ATTACKS. YOUR LEG AND FOOT WILL NOT WORK. YOU WILL FALL.
The ER attendants DID NOT WARN ME of this. I fell badly and sprained my foot in 2 places, to make matters worse..
Does any of this resonate with your leg pain?
