@tabithatwitch
Have you tried OTC extra strength Prunelax? It’s my “go-to”.when I get desperate. Works every time. How about a daily combination of senna-cot tabs and Colace to keep things constantly moving?
No. I have not tried Prunelax... I currently use Miralax because it's tasteless and can go into things like coffee... My PCP recommended Kiwi's instead of Prunes... and eating two of those a night before bed does sometimes work in the morning... But I have not heard of Prunelax... I'll look for it ... thank you
It’s so hard not to strain a bit when nothing wants to move.
I’ve also heard that it can “undo” which really scares me. I’m 71 and don’t want another surgery. 😕
Did you have laparoscopic surgery or open surgery? Did they use a mesh for you? Any dissection?
Laparoscopic for me. No mesh no dissection.
Sutures to the ligaments on my back. I hope they hold…

Did you have laparoscopic surgery? Did they use mesh and was there any dissection? Where did you have your surgery done? Mine was at Stanford in California.
I would like to add for everyone’s benefit that there are pressure points to press that help get bowel movement going. The outside of the bend of either elbow, the outside of the knees 2 1/2 inches down, and 1 and 1/4” below the belly button (press inward). I do this before I sit on the potty and during. Have something to read and keep pressing off and on bc it may take 5 or more min. Also here is a recipe I concocted for having BM next am:
1/4 c unsweet applesauce (I buy the small cups. They make great bedside pill holders)
1/3 capful of Miralax
1 tsp organic Psyllium Husk and Gluten Free Oat Bran - I use Yerba Prima Prebiotic Colon Care Formula (comes in big jar).
2 H2GO capsules (Mag Oxide). I buy this from Amazon.
Stir well to ensure the Miralax is dissolved. Eat with spoon and drink lots of water to get it down to your intestines. If you have too loose stool, reduce the H2GO to 1 tablet.
Well, I have been researching anything that can return my regular BM since my intestinal prolapse surgery in October and now I am becoming more than a little concerned. I also read Dr Gundry's excerpts from his book and I think he sounds like he just wants money from people. Not an expert as he calls himself. I don't know what to use anymore because nothing is really working.. Doctors have prescribe the Miralax, Lactulose, Bisacodyl, Phillips Milk of Magnesia (yuk) and other over the counter things- such a waste of money .... the list goes on... I was so desperate last week I bought one of those liquid enema apparatus kits.. but I felt it was too dangerous and that I may harm myself even further... my PCP suggested eating 2 Kiwi's Fruits and at least 64 ounces of warm lemon water per day.. Apparently Kiwi's are the new "Prunes" Yoga and different types of twisting exercises sometimes gets things moving a bit, but none of this gives me the relief that is needed to be normal. I am literally full of ___ !! Today I decided I am no longer eating because it is not being eliminated properly. I can't go on this way any longer.. Each doctor seems to be of no help. This is such a condition that is difficult and embarrassing to talk about, even to a gastrologist .. I don't know... I feel something is terrible wrong.. Please, does anyone have any have any other suggestions about what I can do this weekend? Thank you so much for any response 🙁
Take the liquid you bought! I went to emergency room and was told I was full of s—-and they gave me something and did not work. After prunes, laxatives I finally bought the liquid bottle and it immediately worked!!!!

It all takes time….be patient….start introducing more fiber in what you eat……fruits, vegetables, nuts and whole grains, lots of water during the day AND be sure you exercise, even a 10 minute walk so you get out and get some sunshine……..

Boy that recipe should do it!
