Just this office. I'm sure I have it as the feeling in my hands and feet are definitely diminished, but I am planning to now go to a neurologist. But everything on these sites seems to indicate that even if you're diagnosed, they essentially have nothing to offer other than drugs for the pain. Is that true?
I don't have any medical background or training but I agree that they normally just offer seizure medications like Gabapentin to help with the neuropathic pain. Before I was diagnosed, my PCP gave me an RX of Gabapentin which I took for a few days and stopped because it did nothing and then when I had a follow up appointment my PCP counseled with her doctor team and told me Gabapentin doesn't help unless you have pain which I don't. The rebuilder is another false promise as far as I am concerned. I have PN, so that is what I was treated for. It didn't work and I think many of its claims are false. Try it if you have money to burn. But I wish you all good luck.

I have been feeling the onset of some pain and numbness in my hands and feet. I had bought the
Bemer for general use. It is peripheral electromagnet field signals (PEMF). Unexpectedly, I found it seemed to eliminate the shooting pains in my legs and feet, although these were not terrible and only occasional. It is supposed to increase circulation in the microcapillaries and there is research to support this claim. I went to one of those chiropractic offices and they wanted to set me up on a $16,000/year program that is not covered by insurance. I am going to go to a neuroligist to get a formal diagnose by a doctor, but everything I read on this site seems to say nothing works. It's not bad now, but the future is really concerning and I'm trying to find anything that might slow it down. I am very active in sports at 73 and the thought of losing my ability to play is pretty frightening. I'm using my Bemer twice every day and hoping this will slow it down. I do not have diabetes.
The Bemer is a $6,000 device and there are other devices that purport to do the same thing that are quite a bit less. Hard to know which ones are good or not as eveybody makes claims and have their testimonials. I will say the Bemer is very well made and there is alot of support.

I'm under the care of a chiropractor and I'm using the rebuilder machine. It's not real cheap but it's about $1,600 rather than the $6,000 on the same on here so it is less. I do quite foot treatments in a foot of water bath with a little salt sprinkled in for conductivity. I've been at it for about 2 months and there has been improvement. The regimen also includes infrared light treatment and some heavy doses of alpha lipoic acid and L-Harginine and lacarnitine. The initial appraisal of my foot neuropathy I could not feel a feather drone across my foot. Now I can. I don't know that it will completely alleviate the neuropathy, but it sure seems to be helping. It is a slow process and you have to keep with the regimen.

They claim that the particular frequencies increase blood circulation and cite published research that claims it does that. They have a dramatic video that shows the before and after of circulation in someone using it. I would assume that increased circulation in the hands and feet would stimulate healing of the nerves or at least slow down further degeneration. However, the Bemer people do not make specific claims about neuropathy. I was only relaying my experience. I still have realtively mild neuropathy at this point with occasional shooting pains and this seems to be improving, but can't say whether my experience will be the same for others. You can read about the Bemer all over google and Youtube. I'm searching for answers on how to stop it from progressing to the very difficult stage that many on this site are describing. I'm HOPING that the Bemer is helping.
