New drug: Anyone have experience with the inhaler Anoro ellipta?

I've been using Treligy for about 4 years and it seems to work well, without any side affects. Actually there has been a tiny bit of improvement.

I wonder if using the nebulizer would work for me. My COPD and emphysema is moderate, though I now am on oxygen 24/7. Cutting the cost to zero would be very helpful on our small budget -- it would keep me from going into the donut hole which is very costly. Are all of these BRAVANA, DUONEB, BUDESINIDE, AND ALBUTERAL as rescue inhaler used at one time in the nebulizer?

I’ve been on Anoro for the last 5 years. Works great for me. I have had no side effects.

I’ve used Annoro for about a year. I take mine around 6:00pm. It does help throughout the night so I can sleep, but I also nebulize with albuterol, followed by 7% Saline then my Annoro. As my Pharmacist explained it to me “We want the airways nice and open so the Annoro powder sits on them to work”. I take it at night because I was having trouble sleeping due to mucus buildup. You can take only one inhalation per 24 hrs though.

Yes. I’ve been on Anoro for three years. I use it first thing in the morning and find my breathing easier and coughing episodes to be eased throughout the day. Late afternoon’s “chair time” will bring about mucus and I have a rescue inhaler to use if needed. I often wonder if the Anoro is losing its effect at that time. I also use an airways clearing vest along with a 3% saltine nebulizer twice daily. I have been very pleased with Anoro and have no side effects. Hope you have the same results.

With my prescription program I can’t afford any of the prescribed inhalers I.e. 400.00 for 30

I started smoking at the age of 12. During the following years that I was smoking, I quit once for 3 years, once for 2 and another time for 1 year, for a combined total of 6 years. Then 31 years ago, I quit smoking and never started up again. So out of my 84 years living, I smoked a total of 35 years probably averaging 1-1/2 packs a day. I was diagnosed with COPD about 5 years ago. I sleep well but have terrible coughing spells every morning and periodically in the afternoon until I'm able to expel phlegm from my lungs. I do take two puffs of Spirivia every morning which seems to help but does not get rid of the Phlegm issue. Has anyone else have this issue and found a solution to reducing it. One other thing, I check my Oxygen several times a day and it generally is 95% or higher and I am quite active and exercise by walking a minimum of a 1/2 to 45 minutes daily. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I just quit Trelegy because I lost my voice and had lots of chronic pain in the lower spine
area. Haven't talked to doctor about this----second dau= My voice is almost normal, lower back pain is way less.
Is Trelegy doing this to me?????????

@jfperrone- I'm so sorry to hear this. You must have been very uncomfortable. I'm also sorry to say that I have no idea if Trelegy caused your symptoms. I would have called my doctor first but I can understand why you didn't.

However, I would recommend calling him now. Not all coincidences are coincidences and if Trelegy did cause this then you need to know the main ingredients, at least so you can keep them on your medical list. Trelegy combines three different drugs that together make a pretty powerful inhaler.

Also, since you have been prescribed an inhaler then your doctor needs to prescribe another inhaler for you. You might be gun-shy right now but if your breathing is restricted that comes first!
