Hello Monive~
I've been suffering from PN for over a year now.....hoping it would go away like it came on..but no...it got to point to where I wasn't able to sleep for more than an hour at a time..being awakened in terrible leg pain..numb toes. I just tried taking a supplement called Benfotiamine 150mg. once a day. In two days..TWO DAYS...almost ALL of my symptoms have just gone away! Check this out on google...very interesting indeed! I feel like I've had a miracle healing!
Bless you all....

Morning Monive~
I looked online for an explanation for my symptoms and found that the one thing I hadn't tried was Benfotiamine.
Knowing that the root cause is probably the bulging disc in L-5 as the culprit...I kept googling more and more till I found some exercises to help..like toe lifts and other leg exercises...which I did do. I was amazed at how fast I got relief and thought I had it licked...but as wonderful as my day was with no numbness at all for the one day...I went to sleep last night on my back..as side sleeping is not good at all for lower disc problems (who knew?)..but after a couple of hours of wonderful pain free sleep..I decided to roll on my side...BIG mistake!! I awoke in pain and discomfort..which lasted all night...even when I returned to my back. Could not fall asleep again. So..I begin again today....with the exercises..just took the Benfotamine...and I'm hoping for a better day ahead....I'm tired....
I'm seeing my primary doc tomorrow for my annual...and see what he says about all of this. Discouraged, but not broken....
I hope this info helps you...keep looking for what sounds right for you. I wish you the best.

Thank you Punky I’ll let you know if I have any good results. I do not have any problems with my back just peripheral neuropathy so I am willing to try it as there is nothing else I have taken or found that gives me any relief. This would be the first attempt. Thanks again, bunky I’ll let you know.

I wish you luck with this..please keep me informed. I also take a lot of other supplements..like R-Lipolic acid, ashwangandha...magnesium...along with others..but these are supposed to be beneficial for nerve problems.

Hello again.....thought I should update what I was thinking was too good to be true. I did have a fabulous day yesterday!!!....my feet, palm of my foot and my shins all felt totally normal!...BUT...when I went to bed...I made the mistake of side-sleeping..which is (was) my most comfortable way....BUT...not for PN, apparently! I woke up after two hours with my feet feeling hot and I could 'feel' my shins as well! I tried sleeping on my back with a pillow under my knees for the rest of the night..but couldn't go back to sleep at all! I got out of bed early....legs felt heavy..toes numbed up again....but I did the stretches for PN...took the Benfotiamine 150mg. with breakfast and I'm back to 'me'..without the numbness. You might also try Youtube...for exercises...Bob and Bill(?) chiros..they are a little strange, but wonderful chiros...this one I got from them..
Holding on to something....standing..bring your toes up..lean back...and then go forward and raise up the back of your foot..as far as you can on your toes.....do a lot of these...and walk around as much as you can. Now..it's afternoon and my legs and feet feel fine...I have no feeling of 'feeling them'. I would strongly suggest to you to google Benfotiamine and see what you think. Now that I've been looking more into PN...there are a lot of wacky treatments out there...so beware.
I have a bulging
L-5...and the MRI shows the swelling and a stenosis of the nerve channel...so that's what's causing my PN....and side-sleeping is a major problem for this...I didn't know this. Hopefully, I will not have the same problems tonight..as I'm sleeping on my back with a pillow under my knees...wish me luck!

I just looked this up - Benfotiamine is B1, or thiamine, as has shown some promise with diabetic neuropathy.

That lifestyle changes are very good tweaking your diet exercise plenty of water I don't sit too long and also coffee or anything with caffeine sugar is a poison to your nerves and also eat add berries vegetables spinach fruits natural sugar things that are good for you do not eat unhealthy fats all these things make a difference exercise makes a lot of difference Loma Linda University has an INF neuropathy treatment that may help if you can afford it there may be places close to you that can help a little bit I don't think they Chiropractic help very much I've even had a chiropractor tell me that they just are temporary fix how about your your exercise is very important your diet is very important and also I I couldn't make it without the Lord I don't know what I would do the Lord save me from misdiagnosis by doctors for 4 years I was misdiagnosed for depression when I actually had anxiety I went through all kinds of medication even shock treatments that didn't help and then after about 4 or 5 hospitalizations the Lord help send send a doctor to me that it gave me the right medication that I've been on since the 90s it's helped me I'm 73 now and it doesn't cost me any problem I was told I would have to keep taking more and more and I actually take less now it's been a big help to me and the Lord was the one he's the great physician he's the one that helps when doctors cannot help he uses doctors but he is Lord God and in control of everything and he uses everything to get her attention that we will turn to him from our sins and trust in him as our savior and I urge you to do that and look to Jesus Christ he died for you on the cross he rose from the dead because he is God he is able to do anything and just trust in him and ask him the Lord says I ask of him wisdom and he will give it to you if you are one of his and follow him
