Neuropathy caused by toxins, poisons and chemicals

...so true about noxious fumes and such; I worked in an offices all my life and last one, started to get very sore red eyes at work but ok when went home; then would continue to burn and be red after being at work and going home; then it took vacation time for eyes to be ok. Air study done in the office and our "boss" left a window open to the office the night before the air quality test! Fast forward months of pain etc. and visits to optometrists and then I just could not go into work any more - long story short, off work 18 months as I could not prove it was office ... went back to work and in a different part of the office.... gain, long story short; when I returned to the office they discovered that FOR YEARS the filter had not been put back on the machine and black dust from toner was coming out and behind Xerox was like soot on wall and ceiling etc.. sorry am trying to keep this short. The Xerox had been right outside my office door! Can you believe it? And I could not afford a lawyer and not only that could not afford the mental stress and strain as it seemed I was the only one out of 12 to get sore eyes! While off work no pay we remortgaged our home and I sold any jewellery etc. I had as only spouse income. I feel for those who worked with stronger chemicals. But I too got P.N. from Norflox 2016 ... or, was it the Norflox or the copier Toner? In any case I have list of medical problems now and some caused by meds, some by nature and some by chemicals, am sure! Thoughts are with you, seems so unfair when employment leaves a person with a medical ailment!

What possible cause did he suggest ? I am curious.

Yes. If it's not indiscrete. You say that your neuro doctor may have bumped into a cause.

@domokane - Sure, no problem. I am 73 this month, last visit with primary neuro doc was Sept 2022, she spent a lot of time talking to me about my history and we began as a child. I happen to mention that back in the 50's and 60's some seashore towns would use a jeep style vehicle to spray for bugs and flies during summer mornings when winds would be low. As kids, we would chase the "spraying machine". Back then, DDT was used and removed from market in the early 70's causing neuro problems. My doc said they are finding out later in life, that DDT could cause neuro issues. So, a smoking gun?? She kind of thought it could be. Will never know for sure.

Yes mayonnaise 28 I agree with you. Also I think people treat it as a race to the bottom. Like one person's symptoms are worse than another persons. Should be about sharing relevant information. Or more importantly useful information.
