Have any of your men used Lupron shots?

Wellness 100. I think that Xtandi is an androgen receptor inhibitor, much like the Erleada that I was on in a clinical trial. The Erleada clinical trial statistics were that the Erleada prevented the PC from progressing for an average of 41 months. Thereafter, they have other treatments to keep us going as long as possible.

Thanks for the response. I am not a med pro but deal with stats. Having looked at a few of the trial stats they raise more question than answers. Overall though, they do confirm their meds improve OS rate. That is the main point, and that is all I will take from it. Reading too much into them may not be too useful.

I also take Aberaterone (generic Zytiga) along with Prednisone. That combination has put my cancer into dormancy and I’m enjoying a great quality of life. Also in my favor is being somewhat of a health nut (exercise, etc.).

That is great news😊

Thank you but I need to avoid waking it up. I once heard that 90% of cancer deaths occur from cancers that were once dormant.

Such things as stress can wake it up. And 90% of cancer deaths once fell into the “dormant category”. Still much better than a “raging” condition but one has to avoid whatever can wake it up. One hears of people battling cancer for years before succumbing to it. Most of those cases had been “dormant”.
