wanted to add a couple "fixes" I've found can help @lioness and I do see this is a post from 2022 but I am hoping you are on the forum still 🙂

In the night, if my PND gets real bad, I take 1 tsp of baking soda in about 3/4 cup of water and take a few sips, which is usually about 10 sips. This seems to break up the mucus enough to allow me to fall back to sleep. I also am starting a nebulizer that is super easy and the doctor says to use Normal Saline, and it's real inexpensive (10 bucks) and hydrogen Peroxide (Food Grade) and the mixture he suggests is 4 to 1 meaning 4 Saline and 1 Hydrogen Peroxide. I am not suggesting anyone try this without letting your doctor know first. I have not tried it, but the nebulizer will be here I think Wednesday and I will report back on it.

The amount is very small, like less or close to 8th of a cup in the little nebulizer cup, and he said breath in the mist about 8-10 minutes. I also want to add that I looked it up and something like Himalayan Pink Salt, or Real Salt from Utah is good to use to make your own saline with no extra chemicals, natural Salts.
