Effexor is NOT for me
I have been taking Effexor 37.5 for 3 weeks and it has made me extremely short of breath. Anyone else experience this? It’s like it has lessened the benefits of my trelegy inhaler. I did not take it last night because I want off this crap and I feel worse now than when I started it. Any advice? I know I can take Prozac but not sure if I can just switch. Seeing my Dr. tomorrow but I absolutely will not be continuing this medication if she ask me to. NO WAY!!

You are doing the right thing getting off. I took Eff XR 75mg for 20 years for fibromyalgia. I don't know why it was prescribed for you, but it is an EXTREMELY difficult drug to stop. I am doing a slow taper and have only been able to drop from 75 to 72.9 in 10 months. Even though you haven't been on it for very long, you should NOT just stop. You will be very ill. Taper slowly.
My Dr switched me to Prozac today. I still feel pretty rough, my body aches. Ugh what a mess I have been today.
My doctor dropped me from 150 down to 75 for 4 weeks. Then down to 37.5 for 4 weeks then off. My biggest problem has been being a Big crybaby! I cry so easy and can't snap out of it. I was on effexor about 15 years. Doctor has me on nortriptyline 10 mg. In last year neuropathy hit me.
