Any treatments for rebound COVID?

I mentioned in a previous comment that I also took Paxlovid and ended up rebounding again..the way I heard it was that rebounding was due to only taking Paxlovid for five days, to work effectively you have to take it at least two weeks but at the time it was only approved for five days… today it’s fully approved and you can take it longer. I wasn’t given any instructions when I rebounded, I basically just went through the whole thing again and waited for a negative test, eventually it all went away except for some lingering symptoms.

Apparently that news hasn't arrived yet in New Mexico! Maybe the Pony Express rider got ambushed! We were only given Paxlovid for five days. I haven't rebounded, at least not yet, just my wife.

When I got covid last November, I was immediately prescribed Paxlovid because they determined that I was a high risk case. I always go online when I’m in doubt or I want more info and there it was a complete report about the medication and why they were only giving patients a five day supply. It doesn’t necessarily mean you will rebound from it, I did but not my husband, it’s always different in some ways from one person to another, I was disappointed that I rebounded but you just get through it and hope for the best, good luck 🤞

Has anyone had a rash that won't clear up with Long Covid?

Paxlovid has been reported to cause rebound Covid in some people. Even two of our well known officials said this on TV that took Paxlovid that they had rebound Covid from the drug. I'm so sorry you are battling this awful virus again. I am praying for you.

I seriously doubt, without scientific evidence, that Paxlovid is the "cause" of rebound COVID. I believe the purpose of taking Paxlovid is to lessen the severity of COVID when the patient has contracted the disease. Thank you for your prayers. My wife is now testing negative and doing much better.

Paxlovid was originally prescribed for five days because it wasn’t fully approved by the FDA. It made sense to get a rebound effect because when I started it my symptoms began to go away but after stopping the Paxlovid they came back.. I read many stories from people who had the same thing. I heard later that Paxlovid was finally approved for full treatment which is now two weeks. I truly hope I never have a need to use it anymore but I can definitely say it does work for alleviating covid symptoms and if you can now take it for the full two weeks, it should hopefully not cause a rebound effect. It would be interesting to hear from someone who took Paxlovid for a full two weeks and find out how they did with fighting covid.

I mentioned previously that I took Paxlovid for five days because it wasn’t fully approved yet..now you can take it for the full time…I recently learned that people are still rebounding even with the full dosage…the other discovery was that evidence is showing that covid can actually replicate another variant with rebounding and it can be transmitted to another person. God knows what is happening and what is true or perhaps a few isolated cases…I will continue to research and pray for better days amen
