Trouble swallowing: Is this age related or something else?
For the past year or so I have had trouble swallowing. I am 93 years old and wondered if this was some thing related to old age or if other people have tis problem also.

I have the same problem. During Endoscopy procedure they did dilation. Now I don't have swallowing problem. I am taking treatment for High grade Dysplasia. Not sure if that is the option for you.
Thanks for sharing. I will certainly look into it.
It's scary when food or drink gets stuck and will not go down. I too had my esopagus stretched about 10 years ago (dilation) and they did a biopsy of my esophagus at the same time. It's a very simple procedure and you are mildly sedated. It worked wonders for me. This may be something to ask your doctor about. Lord Bless You!
I am sorry you are experiencing this. I have trismus, probably the result of lymphoma in my mouth. I can not open my mouth or swallow and use a feeding tube inserted into my stomach to eat and drink. I hope you find a solution. Good luck!
Yes, I have had that done . It helped for awhile but now has gotten worse.
My heart goes out to you. you situation is much worse than mine,. Hope you can find some relief.
I know some folks have to have it done more than once. God Bless.
Evrryone has their own reality to deal with. The point is you are not alone and someone here may have an option that might help you. I posted in case you start losing weight. I had never even heard of feeding tubes until I started passing out fram dehydration and ended up in the hospital
Yes, I have had it done twice. With me it only helped a little and for a short time. God Bless.
Wow, that is alot to deal with. Hope you are better now.
