My EUS showed likely pancreatic cysts

Hello @rajs5251, People don’t always have symptoms with pancreatic cysts. According to the Mayo Clinic website, if there are symptoms they are likely to be:
Persistent abdominal pain, which may radiate to your back
Nausea and vomiting
Weight loss
Feeling full soon after you start eating
I’ve posted a link to the full article for you: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/pancreatic-cysts/symptoms-causes/syc-20375993

Was this a recent discovery for you? Are you having symptoms that prompted the visit to your doctor and the testing?

Hello @rajs5251

I would like to join Lori, @loribmt, in welcoming you to Mayo Clinic Connect. I also have pancreatic cysts with no symptoms. The cysts were discovered during a CT scan to look at another problem. I then had an MRI and later an EUS as you did.

Was your pancreatic cysts referred to as IPMN?

On Connect we have several discussions on this diagnosis. I would encourage you to read the posts so that you understand the experiences of others who have this. Here are links to those discussions:

What have your doctors told you about these pancreatic cysts? Have they given you a plan to follow-up and check on the cysts with an MRI?

Hello - yes I am very symptomatic. My CT, MRCP have all been clean but my EUS showed what looked like a small 6mm cyst in the tail. They could not aspirate because it was so small so I don't know if it is IPMN. I had an MRI yesterday and it was also clean (no mention of cysts so maybe too small to seee on MRI?) Either this small cyst is causing all these symptoms or there in another cause. I go back for another EUS in 7 weeks. Im not sure what to make of this and am perplexed.

It is certainly understandable that you are perplexed. Most of us would be as well.

You mentioned that you are having symptoms. As you are comfortable doing so, could you share what kind of symptoms you are having?
