I was told that my double vision was because my right eye was slightly protruding . The doctors were surprised how could I see. I have to focus with one eye on an object. Glasses do not help long vision. no tumor...anyone else have this?
Yes, I see double because of thyroid eye disease. Also had Graves' disease, which can also affect the eyes. Both of my eyes are protruding. I hope you have seen an Ophthalmologist for your double vision. And/or an Endocrinologist to rule out thyroid issues.
Since Glaucoma diagnosis and nightly eye drops:
woke up one night and saw double when looked at dresser and had it quite a few times since and Ophthalmologist not concerned; also, looking down stairs from my bed saw two of husband coming up - if I put finger in front of my eyes what is in background is double and if i put finger in front of my eyes yet look beyond in background then my finger is double - optometrist says normal with aging! - and thirdly if i am on ipad a lot and look at a book or the writing on tv for instance under the News... its double or rather has a shadow underneath - but Optometrist again not concerned. I have chronic dry eyes and use drops 2 to 3 times a day and am 79. Yes I would say get checked out as soon as possible because several different reasons for seeing double... and I found it upsetting.... also wake up and anything lit, like ipad on, phone display lit up and alarm clock lit up - are blurry and I cannot read the time, the phone pad or ipad... which makes me scared in case of emergency, it happens during night when wake up and scares me ... is it the drops, is it my eyes: again Optometrist either not concerned or doesnt want to worry me as I have anxiety. Hope you find out and that it is nothing very serious..... I can put up with sore eyes, red eyes etc. and even the double vision which comes and goes, as long as I can still see and heart goes out to all those with vision loss, J.
Thank you for sharing, Valerie, Sounds scary, waking up with it...& 2 husbands!
I have an appointment with my ophthalmologist early April and I'll ask her then. Dry eyes, multiple sclerosis, aging, insomnia, or something else.
My favorite sugar-free candy company shut down during the pandemic and I had to decide, tummy or teeth. I chose to continue to ruin my teeth, aren't that many left, so have been sucking candy with sugar since last December.
Am afraid it might be diabetes, something like that. ❤️

thank you, Rose. Will be seeing eye doctor early April. Grave's disease, like President Kennedy? I think.
Also have appointment with internist end of March. He'll test for thyroid problems. Thank you❤️

That sounds scary, Ayn. Have you seen other doctors about this. Have you had your thyroid tested? See below and get someone to test you for thyroid disease.
Also second opinions might be good.
Hope you get an answer eventually. Thanks for sharing. ❤️

i am occassionally like right now, it's making me nauseous, typing & reading...
