When you have questions about MAC and all related issues, here is how to search for answers on Connect:
Go to the Support Group home: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/mac-bronchiectasis/
At the box "Search this Support Group" type in the key word(s) - like "7% saline" or "side effects"
A list of posts containing those words will come up, and you can read a line or two to see if it what you need.
Hint: At the end of each URL (https:\\...) is a number. The higher the number, the more recent the post. Choosing newer entries is a good way to make sure you will be interacting on current discussions, and with currently active members.

Hi, Bon MAC lung disease is an infection caused a group of bacteria called MAC, Mycobacterium Avium Complex, MAC includes two closely related species, Mycobacterium Avium and Mycobacterium Intracellulare, and may also be refferred to as MAI. I got this information from the American Lung Association. If you have any specific questions you should be able to research more. The American Lung Association should be a reliable source.
