I like this a lot ! Let’s face it no one really wants to know how horrible I feel, with the exception of my best friend we tell each other. My kids especially my oldest hates it when I speak about it so I have really tried not to spending more time talking about her. But you definitely need someone to listen. It’s way too hard to go on everyday without someone on your side with Empathy. I’m an Empath., so I’ll listen and absorb your pains.
tape i really like.. i dont know if you will get the rest of my message because my typing disappeared on my page. basically i wanted to say thankyou for your kind message
For those who ask and truly want to know, or need to know, use the number system of 1-10 . There is clarity , truth and brevity and it’s so much easier on you and on them.
If it's the same people that are asking I usually say, "Another day of the same" or "status quo". To other, I say, "I'm hanging in there". One day I hope to say, "Fine" and mean it.
@werld I am blessed. Jesus Christ blesses me every single day so that is the truth. My faith carries me through the hard times.
My family knows I’m blessed…
I’m being honest..
A good answer to "how are you?" when you are in really bad pain could be something like "I'm struggling with pain today, but I'm hanging in there. Thanks for asking." This response acknowledges the pain while also expressing gratitude for the person's concern. Alternatively, you could simply say "I'm not feeling great today, thanks for asking." It's okay to be honest about how you're feeling, but you don't have to go into detail if you don't want to.
How are you has become a rote response to hello. To be truthful, most people don’t want an honest reply- therefore, fine is all you need to answer unless you think other people REALLY want to hear your problems.
Save it for your doctor. He’s getting paid to listen.
I don’t let myself be defined by the pain. Yes I have and treat it accordingly but I still live my life to the best that I can. I don’t complain about what I cannot do and do what I am able. A 2 mile walk daily is a must, as is stretching in the morning and before bed. Since I’m in the down side of 50 I can stop racing to the finish line.

I just say "I'm good" Hope you are! I keep busy and try not to dwell on the pain. I sit when I need to, and I walk every day that I can. I start out slow and by the time I finish the pain is not as bad and it helps me mentally.

I would think I was cured if I could walk 2 miles.
