Eliminating use of vest while on vacation
I have recently been diagnosed with bronchiectasis and MAC. Currently my only symptom is a cough and a slight shortness of breath. My current process for airway clearance is a nebulizer containing 7% saline, RespitTech vest…two times a day, postural drainage…each morning, and 6 days of exercise. We are planning a 4 day getaway, that will make it difficult to take my vest due to the size of the compressor. Is it ok to elimate the vest from my daily routine for 4 days? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

While I'm sure the best person to answer this question would be your doctor, my symptoms and treatment seem to match yours fairly closely. I also use a compression vest, but do not take it with me on trips. I haven't noticed any set-backs from this decision. Enjoy your trip!
As an alternative maybe you could use an arobika. Easy transport! I sometimes use this instead of vest when I have pain from old shingles in my side (post hepatic neuralgia). Just a thought. I don't know if it is a medically approved substitute.
