Yes....I am ok.....I will be going to some new doctors.....i don't just think i have been jjerked around..I know it ..Ihad to go to the ER because they gave me a drug called LUVOX 100 mg.....I am not depressed.I have a report that says those three drugs will give you serotonin sydrome ..and if you have muscle pasm you better hurry and get to an ER...I did not do that the first time and have been catching hell every since....third time other drugs got mixed up didn't go that time either....it was bad ..this last time i fought it as long as I could ..but went to the ER ...ER doctor still did CYA...I still have the buzz in my head but not as bad.....the doctors know I can not take a lot of medicine so why por it on me anyway....I AM GOING TO BE ALRIGHT.....thank you for your concern
Hi Glad that your'e okay hope that you find a really good dr maybe try for a specialist. Luvox was the drug that caused all my problems with the clotting. I didn;t need to be on it either. But the damage has been done and unfortunately it took my health. Take care always here Let me know how you get along

The first nurse didn’t know how to explain it and the second acted like it was nothing. On a Friday after noon my doctor was not there so I could talk to him, so I have to suffer all weekend.
Tomorrow I see a cardiologist to talk about the Amiodarone I’ve been taking which can cause lung injury. I have heart issues as well as anxiety and depression. They know this.
Going to Mayo July 28. Never seen a place that cares and responds like Mayo.

Welcome @kudzu, I know it must be extremely difficult to get devastating news especially on a Friday and then have to wait until Monday to see a cardiologist to talk about it. I'm glad to hear you have an appointment at May July 28th. There is a discussion on Amiodarone that you might find helpful to prepare for your Monday appointment with the cardiologist.

As of Friday I stopped the amiodarone myself.
I have googled and I know there’s a possibility this could be terminal, but hopefully the Amiodarone stoppage will reverse it.
I’m not even sure the results didn’t get mixed up. The technician doing the test said my results looked “awesome”. Something doesn’t add up here.
Besides my fear and sadness, is rage. They told me it wasn’t an emergency and wasn’t that bad, so why couldn’t it have waited until Monday?
Some people in the medical profession are wonderful and “have the gift”. Others need to consider a different profession.
Yes, the appt. at Mayo is a follow up. I got off the phone and went into action. Called Mayo and explained the situation. It helps that I’ve been seen there before. They even offered me an appointment for tomorrow but I can’t get the records together that fast.

I contacted a specialist doctor's solo practice (that I had been seeing) several times leaving messages & even sending a email to request she look (online) at follow up test results this year. I never heard back so just I assumed she had fired me as a patient (my insurance is less than wonderful), or she had gotten COVID. Out of the blue months later her staff called me to schedule a appointment. Even though I had by then seen a Nurse Practitioner for this matter I made a appointment mainly to discuss a medication. When I saw her she said she hadn't received my prior messages. I believed her because she seemed so honestly surprised to be hearing of them. As my condition proved not to be of a life threatening nature, this was forgivable, but in the future if I want a quicker response I will drop off a letter in a large envelope at her office in person.
The diagnostic phase is said to cause the most psychic trauma so your response to being left hanging is quite understandable. I wish you good luck at Mayo.
I am in this same frustration with doctors and was tempted to post on this subject. In November of 2020, I suffered my 3rd heart attack. I had 5 stents in my heart, which were occluded. They weren’t able to restent, which required triple bypass and now a diagnosis of systolic and diastolic heart failure. They attempted to treat all this blockage with medication and now I’m wondering if they would have moved forward with bypass sooner, maybe I would not be where I am. I finally went to Mayo Clinic also. I was offered a heart cath there but returned home to have it where I live. Same treatment, no communication after test, not stabilized on medication. Can’t get appointments with doctor due to the providers protocol. They don’t seem to be open to addressing your needs. After 2 years of this, I’m considering moving to Rochester. Healthcare should not be like this.
@kudzu @retirement75@linh Oh, do I hear you all! I haven't had these experiences in awhile but your posts caused me to recall what happened when I had pneumonia some years ago. I was having trouble breathing during the day time and I tried calling my doctor's office. The receptionist wouldn't give me an appointment. I wound up in the ER in the middle of the night. When I saw my doctor for follow up a few days later he was very annoyed at the front desk people given my symptoms. This caused me to think about how a medical office is organized and the training and response of the first people you encounter on the phone. Sometimes it's not at all the doctor's fault that you didn't get a call back or didn't get seen.
@kudzu. A technician or nurse should never explain a diagnosis - unless the nurse is a nurse practitioner who has the medical license, training and experience to do that. Your experience on a Friday afternoon is just terrible. Like you, I would have worried and been awake all weekend.
Are you feeling better now that you have an appointment at Mayo Clinic at the end of the month?
