@kudzu

Hi- I’m new to the group and this may not be the best way to introduce myself, but I totally get you and I’m ready to do the same here in Eastern Tn. I had a pulmonary function test over a month ago and they waited until mid afternoon on Friday to deliver possibly devastating news that it showed restrictive lung disease, which can be terminal depending on what type and what’s causing it. The first nurse didn’t know how to explain it and the second acted like it was nothing. On a Friday after noon my doctor was not there so I could talk to him, so I have to suffer all weekend.
Tomorrow I see a cardiologist to talk about the Amiodarone I’ve been taking which can cause lung injury. I have heart issues as well as anxiety and depression. They know this.
Going to Mayo July 28. Never seen a place that cares and responds like Mayo.
Sorry to hijack your thread but I was trying to explain why I get it and. support what you’re doing.
I hope your new drs are better and know how to treat you.

Welcome @kudzu, I know it must be extremely difficult to get devastating news especially on a Friday and then have to wait until Monday to see a cardiologist to talk about it. I'm glad to hear you have an appointment at May July 28th. There is a discussion on Amiodarone that you might find helpful to prepare for your Monday appointment with the cardiologist.

Is your appointment at Mayo a followup for the results of your pulmonary function test?
