My GD is pretty much under control after Gabapentin use. Now off Gabapentin, but have mild itching at night.
I use Triaminicine sometimes, but mostly over the counter CERAVE or Eucerine.
Best thing I do as have a small cube air conditioner ($40) aimed at me all night. The cooled air feels awesome & relieves the itching.

I used gabapentin for 13 years and I was itch free the entire time. Then it quit working about 18 months ago. Eucerin Itch Relief is one of the lotions that gives me relief for a few hours. I recently started using Eucerin Calming Body Wash in the shower, it's too soon to know if it's helping at all. It does make the shower floor dangerously slippery. My PCP prescribed Hydroxyzine which, when taking two of them, makes me sleepy enough to eventually forget the itch. I am itching when I wake up. Keep threatening to buy some cilantro capsules (I can't stand the taste of cilantro) but haven't done it yet.
