Moyamoya: STA-MCA Bypass and EDAS surgery
Had STA-MCA Bypass and EDAS surgery on May 9th at Mayo Jacksonville for MoyaMoya. Excellent recovery.....let to go home before lunch on May 11th. Dr. Ricardo Hanel and his team is beyond fantastic. I feel better than I have felt in YEARS. Who knew a totally blocked middle cerebral artery and right side brain volume at 50% could possibly make ya feel so bad??!!! HEHEHE Good Grief!! Just glad to still be here!

My daughter (21 years old) has been diagnosed with Moyamoya. We are traveling to the Mayo Clinic in MN in April for testing and recommended treatment plan. Just wondered what we might expect.
Hi @sallen52. I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter's diagnosis. You may find this patient and visitor guide to Mayo Clinic in Minnesota helpful: http://www.mayoclinic.org/patient-visitor-guide/minnesota. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks.
Has anyone had an Cerebral Bypass? If so can you give some do’s and don’t a?
I was diagnosed with moyamoya when I was 8 I'm now 42 never had any surgeries to fix it because my moyamoya is caused by radiation scar tissue blockage in both side. What options are there for me?
