Again, which nebulizer...HELP!!
Why are things so complicated these days? I'm on my second compressor and it is taking an hour to do a treatment. You hear of folks that say, "I'm done in 5-10 mins." I first neb 3.5% Sodium Chloride mixed with Budesonide followed by Tobramycin. The Budesonide instructions say only use a jet neb NOT an ultrosonic neb. The Tobramycin instructions say you must use the PARI-LC kit. I had to be in the hospital recently for GI bleeding and my inhaled treatments went really quickly but they use the oxygen ?input and can control the flow. We, on the other hand, only have an off and on switch. If anyone out there has any knowledge or thoughts on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated.

In the instructions it says you can do a low level disinfecting every other treatment day with vinegar after first cleaning it as usual in soapy water. They say 1 part vinegar to 3 parts hot water for 1 hour. When you did your soak before boiling did you use that amount of vinegar to water? And do you normally use vinegar as they instruct? I have never used vinegar but sounds like I should start. Wonder if using it as they instruct some days and then boiling other days would do the trick to keep the cups working well.
I’m not sure vinegar disinfects like some say it does. I put it in vinegar for the probable mineral buildup from soaking in soapy water and then sterilizing by boiling in water. I think that’s why the saline wasn’t coming out properly. I will now will try to soak all my cups and Aerobika in vinegar once a month. When I soaked the cup that seemed to be clogged, I put it in straight vinegar. I don’t remember how long I let it soak but it was at least a half hour or more.
I agree about vinegar not disinfecting well. That is why I had been using alcohol. I tried boiling but had issues with the cups so switched to alcohol. But still have issues with the cups! But your approach sounds like a possible solution. I wonder what Pari would say if you told them your experience. I wonder why they do not recommend straight vinegar?
I bought the Pari Green Go for the same reason. I can not miss a day due to a non-functional compressor. The Pari Pro Max I found was faster WHEN THE CUPS WORK!
Everyone talks about the "Pari". Can someone explain to me why the one I have is not similar or just as good. I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just that I am confused about nebulizers. I don't need a travel one right now but I am interested in finding out if I should "upgrade" the one I have. The worry that it might give out suddenly would mean we need two at home or at least 1 portable 1 regular.
