Diagnosis of low grade lymphoma leukemia

I have never heard of cll being a side effect of a vaccine. I was diagnosed 6 months ago but the doctor seemed to think that it was triggered by a partial thyroidectomy. My white blood cells went up right after the surgery.

No, it's not something we would hear about. Many people are just wondering if the vaccines triggered this and many other diseases.
I have not had any surgeries since 2001 and no major health issues since 2016. It's just coincidental and no studies are or will be done anytime soon especially since the vaccine documentation has been hidden for 50 years.

It can be something latent with no symptoms that just comes up in a routine blood test and has no relationship to the vaccine. There is so much publicity about the vaccine that it is the first thing people think of when they get a diagnosis.

I realize that people want to blame the vaccine for a multitude of issues but so many coincidences cannot be ignored. Patients know their bodies and know when issues began. I'm not on a vaccine bandwagon by any means. Yes, you are right about cancer being latent but I'm staying open minded too.

I agree. I have a friend who is currently dealing with some issues. This past year, after he received the booster, he has been sick a handful of times, prior he had a clean bill of health. Just this past month, he has come down with an infection that he is now on round two of antibiotics, anemia, low WBC and now high b12. I worry about blood cancer, seeing that a majority of his symptoms point to this. Like you said, there are so many “coincidences” that it can no longer be ignored

@colleenyoung I was reading another post re: CLL and dizziness ; i have had new dizziness when getting out of bed only in a.m.; do you know if dizziness is connected to CLL. I see my hematologist Mar 10 and will mention this; just wanted to get some insight. Thank you.

Hi @tatayababa, One of the side effects for CLL may be some dizziness in a roundabout way. Dizziness is fairly common for patients who have anemia and in turn people with chronic lymphatic leukemia are often anemic.
If your red blood count is down that may be the culprit. Definitely bring it up with your hematologist. Keep me posted, ok?

I too have low grade B cell Lymphoma/Leukemia. Started end December 2019 with low platelets and enlarged spleen. This continued until blood work prompted a CT scan and bone marrow biopsy in January 2021. I did get a second opinion at the Mayo Clinic in Ri=Rochester MN. My oncologist said this was good news and I replied with ""For whom? Not where I am sitting". It is a wait and see cancer but I worry every time anything different comes up. It is incurable but chemo seems to be the treatment to put one in remission. I am not sure I want to go that route and put all that poison in me. There are alternative treatments but the problem is they are not covered by insurance and very costly. It is a huge worry for all of us with the BIG C.

@elainejarrett i hear you loud and clear; i was diagnosed in CLL and SLL 3 weeks ago; MRI/CT scans have been done; no bone marrow biopsy yet; i have heard the same; all good no symptoms could be years before treatment needed....sounds good but scary... you having symptoms?

I am going to oncologist next week as I have had some unexplained weight loss but no other symptoms. May not be related to the cancer but just want to make sure. Do you have low platelets and enlarged spleen? My CT scan showed my lymph node from my spleen to my kidney is enlarged too. Keep in touch.
