C. diff, SIBO and chronic nausea
I started 8 months ago with either food poisoning or a stomach flu. I have never recovered. I have had every test done and continue to suffer from nausea everyday. In the middle of this I was diagnosed with and treated for c-diff twice but because I didn’t have the classic symptoms the drs at Mayo thought they were false positives. I also was diagnosed and treated for SIBO twice. The nausea everyday which is where this all started never went away. Has anyone had this and come up with a solution?

Have you tried olanzapine? It is off-label to treat nausea, but it helped me. The Relief Band was minimally helpful, but some seem to get lots of relief from it.

1 ReactionI still highly recommend the phenergan, which I take each day. The side effects, at least for me, are minimal.

2 ReactionsYes, I have and it is very helpful, but costly. However, I may reconsider after my upcoming appointment with the hepatologist because I am concerned about all of the medications I take that may be having an effect on my liver. In fact, I just received a new prescription for migraines, Nutrec, and while it is a miracle drug, my pharmacist cautioned me about the fact that there is a warning on the literature that says not to use if you have a liver disease, which I have. But, one only gets 8 tablets a month, and I doubt I will use all of them in 30 days.
Thanks for the information

1 ReactionWas taking dexilant 60 mg once a day and had nausea at very high level about 20% of the day. Now taking dexilant 30 mg twice a day and have nausea at a low level about 80% of the day. In essence, I have less nausea now for a longer part of the day. Have GERD and gastritis. Yes, I know it is confusing but any ideas how I can find some balance? It is like I now have low level nausea most of the day. Thanks in advance for your help.
