When in PMR remission: What's your experience with covid vaccine?
I have delayed getting any of the first Covid vaccines because I was waiting for the NOVAVAX vaccine that was more traditional in its development. It is now available and approved for use. Not many pharmacies have it but COSTCO does. Has anyone gotten this vaccine. What has been your experience so far. It requires two shots, no booster series mentioned but can be taken as a booster for other vax.

I didn't get my second booster after experiencing PMR after my first one. I've just recovered from Covid (second time). Took Plaxovid for this one as it is being prescribed more often now. Felt like a cold and I was lacking energy but am doing fine now.
I haven't done much of anything since my relapse in August. I wear a N95 mask everywhere.
I don't believe your PMR is a coincidence at all.
Same. Onset after first Covid vax May 2021 (although went undiagnosed at that time), escalated 10 days after second Covid vax August 2021 with same symptoms as you describe. This went on until December 2021 when I insisted upon blood work for RA. Inflammation markers were through the roof. Now-retired GP urgently referred me to a Neurologist here in Halifax. I was immediately put on 20 mg. Prednisone and still working through the PMR, now morphed to GCA and at 60 mg. These were Pfizer vaccines. Will never take another. Have never had a flu shot, or shingles. Previously completely well and on the move. Not so much at this time.
