I wanted to tag @rosemarya and @capausz to see how they or their loved ones are doing with this disease.
Back to you @scardycat have you undergone any treatment at this time?

Thanks! No treatment kind of a watch, but I’ve noticed I’m getting another module on my palm, the hand surgeon said usually no treatment because right now I can lay my palm flat,
@scardycat, now that several weeks have passed since my injection, the pain is gone, and I can lay my hand totally flat. However, my ring finger is now a trigger finger. Wearing my wedding rings seems to make it worse. I will consult with my doctor in two weeks, and I suspect hand surgery to release that tendon is the next step.
@scardycat, to directly answer your question on coping, I found that taking Aleve helped somewhat. Holding a cold drink in my left hand sometimes relieved the pain. I found myself often gently massaging my palm often gave me partial relief. Bottom line is that ultimately the pain became so severe and so constant that I was forced to go in for an injection, and my doctor told me the injection might not work long term.

Brother had hand surgery, mostly worked, we understand it is not a disease but genetic disorder, affects mostly males, per his surgeon,
Yes that’s what I’ve read as well very interested also from Northern European ancestors, glad his surgery worked.
My ortho doc said disease of fibrous tissue.

Did you get a cortisone shot or the ziaflex?
@scardycat, I got the Ziaflex, which my insurance did not cover....cost of the drug was $80. However, my insurance covered the office visit.
Wow that’s not too bad thank you.
