Dry mouth remedies
I have Sjogren's Syndrome that causes dry mouth. I have been using Biotene Oral Balance Dry Mouth Moisturizing Gel to help me sleep at night. I put 1/2" on my tongue and my saliva started to flow and it sting my throat when I swallowed it. May be the strong sweetness irritate my throat? Wonder if you have the same experience?
Also, any recommendation for products that you use that help your dry mouth will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Always have water when eating. I can't swallow food without it. Get a pill cutter, although the gel pills can't be cut. Water first, pill in mouth, lots of water, head back and it's down. I tried AZO pills for my Urinary tract, Couldn't handle the size. Luckily, I found the Gummies.
XyLiMelts tablets from Amazon. People who have chemo take them. Put brown part against back tooth for ten seconds. It sits there and mouth is great all night.
I know this is an old thread but Xylimelts are amazingly effective. I am surprised more people on here haven’t referred to them.
I rarely wake in the night with dryness since I have been using them.
There is only one downside to them, (which only goes to show how effective they are in producing saliva), and that is drool. I always seem to end up with a smear of white hardened residue on the upper edge of my bed covers. It comes off easily on wash days though.
Interestingly I can nearly always tell how long I have been asleep if I wake for any reason, due to the amount that the lozenge has dissolved. If there is a lot left then I have only been asleep one or two hours. If only a little left of the lozenge, then about six hours.
I use to take them, one would only last about 4 hours, but for some reason they quit working 🫤🤷🏼♀️
My ENT recommended these for me and I use them at night. Sometimes at work. For me they worked alright.
Yikes! Is there no choking hazard? I would not want anything in my mouth while sleeping.
I take them. They stick to the inside of my mouth so no fear of choking. If I want to take it out, I literally have to pull it off or put my nail under it to break the seal.
