I'm worried about taking statins and side effects
Hi, I am 69 and just started taking statins two months ago for cholesterol and I am now noticing dents in my calves and near my knees. I am concerned and worried about taking statins and wondering if anyone has these type of permanent like dents whether taking statins or not. Just don’t know if it is a typical thing that happens with aging or if there is something seriously wrong. I do not have pain but suddenly noticing these dents has me a bit scared! Any feed back would be great!! Thank you!

I’ve been on statins for many years and have noticed the same thing on my legs. I have no
Info on it.
My overall cholesterol and LDL dropped like a rock as well. Love Praluent.
any injection site issues?
not for me. you only do it once every two weeks so you can pick either thigh or either side of your stomach, two inches from belly button. with at least 4 sites to choose from, it's no issue at all.
thanks i decided to go for the 1/x month version.
I am almost 76 and have been on atorvastatin since 2018 after quintuple bypass surgery (no heart attack). I have noticed no side effects.
Statins i’ve been on over 30year never had any dents
Statins for 25 years. No side effects or dents. Why do you think the statin is causing the dents? Have you talked to your doctor or pharmacist?
Crestor
...husband on them too; would it make a difference which "brand" is used and whether or not injections or pills I wonder?
