Sorry to come out of the blue with this but: I contracted septicemia after having three stents placed in the iliac veins. wound up in the hospital for five days receiving intravenous antibiotics and then sent home. I think there should be some kind of aftercare but there was none. Now I feel like it might have come back so I will go to the E.R. in the morning, Why has there not been a better way to complete the care? This is deadly. No one seems to care or know what to do.

Oh dear, @peach414144. That must have been scary. And now you feel like the infection is coming back. Upon release from the hospital, were you given any written information to follow? What symptoms are you having now that make you believe infection has returned.

You're quite right that sepsis (sometimes called septicemia) is very serious and can be fatal. Did you go to ER? Please don't take any chances.
