Did I stop growing?
I’m 14 years old and have been 5’6 for about a few months now and I’m not sure if I should be worried or not. I hit my first growth spurt back in 4th grade when I was 4’9 and grew, by the time I was in 6th grade I was 5’1 . Then 7th grade came and I grew 5 more inches. By the time the pandemic started I was 5’6. I started 8th grade and finished 8th grade (currently about to go to 9th) and still haven’t grown a single inch. The doctor says I have a lot of testosterone and should be exercising more so I did but no signs of growth yet. Is there a certain exercise or medication or any remedies I can take to increase my height or maximize it?

Hi!
After you have read earlier posts, including the link to an excellent article on teen growth,
let us know if you if you have further questions. It is a complicated subject as you can see.
i just turned 14 in january and i got my period when i was 10. since i was a teeny 4 year old ive always been taller than other kids but lately i havent grown and im still 5"6. I havent kept track but i know its been atleast 6 months or a year. maybe even 3 but im bad at keeping track.
my voice still sounds like a 12 year old so does that mean i might grow taller since im not done with puberty yet? im also still a 34a and my chest hasnt grown in awhile

i started growing 3 inches a year from 11 years old(boy, i dont think it was early puberty and more like catch up growth). that rate lasted until i was 13 and a half. right after that my spurt ended and my growth went back to my childhood rate which was 1.5 inches per year. I grew that rate from 13.5-14.5 but now i feel like i wont grow that much as im currently abt 5'6 and my dad is 5'8-9 and my mom is 5'0,5'1
Im a 15 year old male who hasn't had a period of fast growth like my peers. As at 12 I was 5ft3 and now at 15 I'm 5ft5 and I dont believe that I am a late bloomer as I'm developing side burns. Is it possible for teenagers to grow at later teenage years. Also I have a father who is 6ft2 and mother who is 5ft2 aren't you not supposed to grow closer to the taller parent if male.
@kebablad616, adolescents are often concerned about their growth. I get it. I moved your post to this discussion where you can connect with others as well as read some of the helpful posts from mentors. Check it out here:

Hi I just turned 18 years old and i am currently 6 feet. My father is 6 foot 5 and my mother is 5 feet 8. Growing up i always was in the 96-percentage range for being taller than all the kids my age and around the age of 7 I was diagnosed with B cell Leukemia I had to have a bone marrow transplant. and have been in remission for a while now. when i was about 13 years of age i started lifting weights not anything over the top just going off and on i started to really get into lifting heavy weights at 15 and would lift heavy weights with bad form. I would do this lift called deadlifts with a heavy amount of weight on it and had bad form the whole time I feel that my lifting caused damage to my growth i have gotten my x ray on my wrist and they said it is closed but got another x ray on my knees and they said I have really large growth plates in my knees still. I also have stopped doing that exercise or any exercise that is very heavy for about a year now and have noticed back pain a lot when i try to do anything my back will tighten up and i will fill stabbing. Did i stunt my growth? What should I do?

First- Congratulations on being in remission with B cell Leukemia! You have been through a lot.
Heavy duty weight lifting is usually not recommended in youth still growing but I don’t think you stunted your growth. Good news that you still have open growth plates in your knees, indicating that you still can grow.
Your leukemia treatments may also have influenced your active growth those years- or just delayed reaching your final height.
You’ll probably find yourself still adding inches into adulthood.
Good sleep and good nutrition are important factors along with moderate physical activity.
my dad is 5'1 and my mom is 5'3, im 15 years old now and my height is 154 cm
(5'1) my underhair is above 4cm and i grow some beard. will i grow height in future?

I don’t know if you have seen the other posts in this thread on the growth topic. There are some good links too.
One usually end up with a height similar to the parents or even more.
It sounds as if you may still have some growth possible.
You are taller than your Dad already.
