Here's more information about tinnitus from Mayo Clinic:
- Tinnitus https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/tinnitus/symptoms-causes/syc-20350156

"Tinnitus is when you experience ringing or other noises in one or both of your ears. The noise you hear when you have tinnitus isn't caused by an external sound, and other people usually can't hear it. Tinnitus is a common problem. It affects about 15% to 20% of people, and is especially common in older adults."

What I hear is MUSIC! … it is soft, as though I’m overhearing a group singing in the distance but without words. The songs are all familiar to me. In order not to be distracted by it, I try to think of it as low background music one would hear in a restaurant or large facility. I don’t understand how my brain is producing specific songs!
